The 2012 Beetle will be available in a variety of models at launch this Fall in Clearwater, including models with powerful and efficient 2.5L and 2.0 TSI® turbocharged engines. The forthcoming TDI® Clean Diesel Beetle will offer an estimated 40 mpg* on the highway. All Beetles come standard with Volkswagen's advanced Intelligent Crash Response System and all are covered under the no-charge, 3-year/36,000-mile scheduled Carefree Maintenance® Program* and here at Lokey VW you can have peace of mind with our Lifetime Warranty.
The 2012 Clearwater Beetle will also offer a host of premium features
like Bluetooth® technology, a slide and tilt panoramic roof, keyless
access with push-button start, leather seating surfaces, and BI-XENON™
headlights and LED daytime running lights. The Tampa Bay Area Beetle will
offer the new Fender® Premium Audio System, designed exclusively for
Volkswagen.
The 2012 Tampa Bay Area Beetle is bigger by a noticeable amount and the
bigger and sportier Beetle is not going to be known as a girls' car
anymore. The previous model of the Love Bug, (discontinued Fall 2010)
did have a large share of female buyers, but with its sleek new look and
playful design, VW is drawing in the guys too. The 2012
Beetle measures 168.4 inches long, up 6 inches and 71.2 inches wide, an
increase of 3.3 inches. It boasts seating for four, although the back
bench can be folded down to allow for more cargo room if needed.
Showing a playful side on German engineering, the Beetle is a
welcome addition to the Volkswagen lineup. For more information, visit
