Journalists converge at New York's International Auto Show to vote for the World Car of the Year.  In 2010 a $20,000 hatchback took the title.

The Volkswagen Polo was selected from 30 other entries on this year's ballot, nominated by 59 journalists hailing from 25 countries across the globe. The VW Polo beat some strong competitors including luxury make Mercedes-Benz with its E-Class and the Toyota Prius.

With a decade of popularity and high sales marks, the Volkswagen Beetle will enter its second generation with a slight overhaul. Commonly refereed to as the "New Beetle" Volkswagen has plans to revamp its famous Love Bug with a VW Ragster Concept.

VW states they want to focus more on "driving dynamics" with this second generation Beetle, as opposed to retro styling, which has been one of the Bug's greatest points of interest. However…
